The former adult film star, Jenna Jameson just recently celebrated one year of her massive weight loss journey. Jenna shed more than 80 pounds following a strict keto diet. And she documented her progress on her social media accounts. She also offered her followers diet tips and words of encouragement about accepting yourself for who you are – celebrating inner beauty and mental health.

The 44-year-old mom wrote on Instagram,

“Today I celebrate 1 year of being #keto. I have absolutely never felt better!Combining #sobriety, the keto lifestyle and intermittent fasting is the perfect trifecta for me when it comes to a healthy sustainable fitness journey.”

Jenna welcomed her daughter in 2017 after which she was determined to shed the lingering pregnancy pounds. The star began a strict diet and started to see some very noticeable results. Moreover, as a courtesy to her many followers on social media, she documented and kept track of every ups and downs of her weight loss journey.

“It’s very possible to be thin and frightening unhealthy. So thickness does not equate to being sick, but mine was. I was pre-diabetic, and a literal sloth. I remember back when I weighed 80 lbs and was starving myself… I thought that was pretty at the time but had no clue,” she wrote.

Don’t ever give up on yourself!

When it comes to eating, you can’t be perfect all the time and that’s something Jenna understood. The adult star’s philosophy revolves just around this mantra. There were no exceptions for her when it came to be persistent. She knew she was not perfect but and she also knew that her willpower was not ironclad, but, one thing she knew for sure was that she was never going to give up. She advised her followers to challenge their disappointment into “positivity”.

“Let’s talk jumping back on the wagon after losing control and eating like a crazed banshee. We all do it. There are no exceptions. All the health gurus and fitness badasses do it. But the ones who stay successful are the ones who keep going. It comes in the form of wanting to feel my best,” she said.

She continued, “I know I’m not perfect and my will power isn’t ironclad, but I DO know I will never give up! It’s important to know that no matter how long you fall off, you can always jump back on the horse! Know there are so many on the journey right along with you!”

How to get away with diet boredom?

It’s no joke when you’re sick and tired of following a particular diet. You’re compelled into binge eating to fulfill all cravings. Therefore, Jenna’s strategy revolved around switching her snacks and go-to meals to keep her sane.

She wrote, “A variety of choices of snacks are imperative to staying on track.”

Jenna embarking on a less stressful lifestyle and the quest for healthy living changed her life drastically, and all for the better. She constantly stresses on the fact that the toll stress takes on our health is tremendous. So, it’s always important to be mindful.

The actress and author wrote to her Instagram fans, “What a difference two years makes! It’s been a wonderful journey bringing Batelearthside and embarking on a quest for health and a less stressful lifestyle.”

According to Jenna, the power of a good “suck in” is insane. Everything is farce, if you relax completely, you’ll look pregnant. “You are beautiful either way,” said Jenna in one of her Instagram posts.

After giving birth and trying out how to delete belly fat, Jenna kept coming back to a keto diet. Everything changed with her trick to carve out the belly fat.

She wrote in an Instagram post,

“After giving birth and trying to figure out how to delete my belly fat, I kept coming back to #keto. I knew this was the best way to get rid of my stubborn belly thickness. Seriously after 40, I felt like it was here to stay.”

She credits clean eating for helping her slim down all the belly fat, “Getting rid of sugar, processed foods and unneeded carbohydrates did the trick. If you’re struggling or just confused on how to start to get healthy.”

Don’t ever get complacent

If you want to successfully lose weight, then getting complacent is out of the question. One of the biggest reasons Jenna was continued to have success with her keto diet was her willingness to switch it up. She regularly switched up her daily menu. It helped her keep her body slim. She followed an intermittent fasting practice and religiously made a cup of coffee for herself every morning at 6 am. Breakfast included eggs with sour cream and Cholula sauce at 10 or 11 am with cabbage salad and chicken break at 2 pm for Lunch. The last meal of her day would usually be at 6 pm. And since she is a steak lover, she always had one at hand.

She wrote in an Instagram post,

“I’m a steak lover, so I always have a beautiful ribeye on hand!”

Jenna’s weight loss story is an epic journey which revolves around perseverance, consistency and feeling good about oneself, mentally and physically. She kept it real and showed her followers raw before and after pictures of her weight loss. She shared belly flab photos, setbacks and frustrations while dropping a great deal of weight and inspiration. Jenna followed a strict keto diet, circuit training and workout plans and didn’t for a second stress on what was staring back at her in the mirror.
