Some think that sport is just the obsession with exercise and the cult of the body, that pushing our muscles to the limit is just a matter of pride and our goal is just to be better than others. But only those of us who practice sports understand that exercise goes beyond the physical dimension, that it reaches the mind and soul, and that what is really important is to know and overcome not only physical limits but also human limits. All this to be better, yes, but better than yourself. Our success consists in being more human, getting to know ourselves better or even discovering ourselves.

But success does not depend only on talent, but on effort, the ability to excel and our reaction to changes, as well as our intellectual and human capacity. And precisely all these qualities we work on when we do sports, although we do not believe it. In fact, fitness not only works the muscles, because exercise is capable of improving our memory, our learning capacity and preventing the deterioration of our knowledge.

But in addition to the benefits for that intellectual part of the brain, the part controlled one by the left hemisphere is also very important, it is the most emotional part of our thinking, which only works based on feelings and emotions. Thanks to sport our self-esteem improves, since it triggers our levels of oxytocin, the popularly called love hormone, which allows us to love ourselves more and love others. Happiness is essential to be more human, but sometimes we forget it. So add, add happiness, add effort, add sociability, add confidence, add concentration, add compassion add whatever you want, but never stop adding or at least trying.
